Description

This service is for non-profit associations (MTÜs) in Estonia that wish to be added to the list of non-profit organizations eligible for tax-deductible donations, maintained by the Estonian Tax and Customs Board.

Having your MTÜ included in this registry allows donors (both private individuals and companies) to deduct contributions from their taxable income — making your organization more attractive to supporters.

Our service includes:

  • Analysis of your MTÜ’s structure and objectives to confirm eligibility
  • Preparation and filling of the application form based on your data
  • Submission of the application to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board (EMTA)
  • Coordination and communication with the tax authority if clarifications are requested

Please note: The decision to include the MTÜ in the registry is made by EMTA based on their evaluation of your organization’s compliance with legal criteria.

Timing

  • We will prepare and submit your application within 3 business days after receiving all required information and documents from your side.
  • The Estonian Tax and Customs Board typically makes a decision within 30 days, depending on their internal processing schedule.
  • To be eligible, your MTÜ must have charitable, educational, scientific, religious, or socially beneficial goals.
  • Your organization must also maintain proper accounting and transparency in its financial activities.
  • This service does not include preparation of your MTÜ’s statutes or accounting support — these can be ordered separately if needed.
