Goals

After incorporating a company in Estonia, the owner should present the documents confirming that the company is a taxpayer in Estonia to the counterparties and banks.   

Such a document is the tax residency certificate issued by the Tax and Customs Board that contains principal details of the company:

  • company name,
  • company location,
  • registration number,
  • information that the company is a resident of Estonia according to the Income Tax Act,
  • information that the company is a resident of Estonia according to the Convention for the avoidance of double taxation concluded with a particular country if such a convention exists.

Tax residency certificate may be obtained in the paper format with a parallel text in Estonian, English, Finnish and Russian sealed by the Tax and Customs Board.

Price

The price of a tax residency certificate in the paper format with a parallel text in Estonian, English, Finnish and Russian sealed by the Tax and Customs Board is 100 euros. It does not include VAT, which can be applied.

  • to inform if apostille is required and for which country,  
  • to provide the address and contact details of the recipient for sending the original certificate.
